Final Fantasy XIV: How to get Alumen

Final Fantasy XIV is jam-packed with content, ranging from an epic narrative about the death of gods to berry picking and practically everything in between. With this comes crafting, and making various pieces of equipment will necessitate the use of reagents such as Alumen.

If you know where to look and have the right abilities, you can find alumen in abundance. The reagent may be mined from level 20 nodes near Drybone in Eastern Thanalan, requiring at least a level 20 miner for those who don't want to buy it on the market.

For a decent beginning point, look northeast of Camp Drybone, approximately (18.8, 20), and mine your way west, south, east, and back north. When you run out of nodes, you should be able to mine the original node again, allowing people to grind massive amounts for use or the marketplace. With Quick Gathering turned on and Gathering Boons active in nodes, it's possible to acquire around 20 Alumen per minute.

This Alumen grind is safe, simple, and effective because to the innate stealth provided by the Disciple of the Land classes. Keep in mind that your harvests are linked to your mining level, keep an eye on your item durability, and get to mining.
