How to use TikTok Stories
Even Twitter experimented with its own form of stories, dubbed "Fleets," but the functionality was later dropped. TikTok, a platform owned by ByteDance, has now incorporated its own version of the feature, TikTok Stories. They started testing the function with a small group of people in 2021, but it now appears that they've expanded it out much more widely across the platform, giving more people the chance to try it out.
TikTok Stories: How to Use Them
Now that the feature is being sent out to more individuals, there's a better chance you'll be able to use it, but if you don't, you may have to wait a little longer. Adding to your TikTok narrative is straightforward if you now have access to the feature.
- Launch TikTok.
- Use the + button at the bottom of the screen to open the camera.
- Make sure the pink record button is set to 'Quick,' then choose between taking a picture or filming a video.
- To add it to your narrative, use the white 'Post to Story' button once you've applied the filters or stickers you want to use.
- To see someone's narrative, go to their profile and tap on the blue circle around their photo to see what they've posted.
Some stories appear to be appearing on people's For You Pages, so it's unclear how the feature works in relation to applications like Instagram just yet, but users seem to be enjoying themselves while testing out the new feature.
