Tunic: How to get the Hourglass

Sometimes all you need to do is take a deep breath and smell the roses. There are lots of possibilities for that in Tunic, albeit they aren't generally in the middle of a conflict. However, you may create some breathing room for yourself in the middle of a conflict by using the Hourglass, a magical artifact that slows downtime. When it consumes your magic while active, it can be quite useful in certain fights, such as the battle with the Heir. Here's where you may look for it.

The land bridges in the southern region of the Overworld conceal a plethora of secrets, including a number of hidden fairies. But there's another treasure hidden beneath the southern bridge: a cave. Enter, and you'll find a chest with the Hourglass within at the end of a flooded tunnel.

Because this cave is accessible early in the game, it may be the first magical object you come across. But be careful: the cave is defended by four laser turrets, and if you haven't picked up the shield yet, you're in for a rough time. The Hourglass, ironically, can make this fight a lot simpler, so if you can charge past them and open the chest before the fire, you might be able to flip the tables.
