Elden Ring: Where to find Brother Corhyn's location
To put it mildly, Brother Corhyn's placement in Elden Ring is a stumbling block for many who desire to continue learning Faith incantations. The cleric tutor begins in the Roundtable Hold, where you can study Faith spells, but you'll soon discover that Corhyn has vanished, leaving you with no way to learn all of the Incantations from the Prayer Books you gave him. This can be downright terrifying if you're a Faith-based mage in Elden Ring.
Don't worry, Brother Corhyn is on the hunt for Goldmask, and finding both of them is part of the Brother Corhyn questline. We can show you where Brother Corhyn is in Elden Ring if you want to find him after he's gone and keep learning holy magic.
The location of Brother Corhyn in Elden Ring
Brother Corhyn is initially found near the Site of Grace in the Roundtable Hold, but he will move when the player jumps over the balcony and kills the NPC invader NPC Mad Tongue Alberich, as best as we can tell. Once you've done this, the next time you speak with him, he'll note that he's looking for the Goldmask, a figure referenced in the beginning cinematic and that he'll be heading to find him.
He'll be gone the next time. He may be found in the Altus Plateau, right near the beacon that contains the map fragment for that area (if you don't know where that is, see our page on the Elden Ring map pieces). He's peacefully sitting on the wall, and he'll continue to be a spot where you can study Incantations and submit any Prayerbooks you find, albeit he'll still make the same startled expression whenever you do so because they're not part of the proper holy writings.
Now, if you don't continue Corhyn's particular questline, which revolves upon finding and speaking with the Goldmask, he'll stay put, so don't tell him if you find that guy. If you advance his questline, he will visit the following locations in the following order:
- In Leyndell, outside the coliseum.
- In Mountaintops of the Giants, on the bridge south of the Stargazer Ruins.
Though there is an option, Brother Corhyn is a necessary NPC for any player constructing a character-centered on Faith and Incantation. Although they don't start with the same option as Corhyn, the giant tortoise Miriel at the Church of Vows (East side of the Liurnia Lake) will accept Prayer Books and sell Incantations. You can't teach Miriel any Incantations that you've already taught Corhyn because each one is limited by the Prayer Books you offer them.
