Final Fantasy XIV: How does the Unending Codex work

The Unending Codex is a tool that comes with the Newfound Adventure 6.1 update for Final Fantasy XIV. As you advance through story missions and interact with important individuals in Final Fantasy XIV, you'll be contributing to it. Here's everything you need to know about Final Fantasy XIV's Unending Codex.

You'll need to start the Newfound Adventure quest in The Rising Stones to get the Unending Codex. After you've completed the Endwalker Main Story Quests (MSQ) in the game, you'll be eligible to access this quest. When you've done that, go to The Rising Stones and talk to Tataura to start your quest. You'll be able to access the Unending Codex after completing the first quest.

It's essentially a bulleted list of all the important data you'll need to remember and refer to throughout your Final Fantasy XIV adventure. It may be found in the Collections section of the Duty tab. You'll be able to look up practically anything your character encounters during the course of the journey, allowing you to refer back to characters, events, or story threads if you forget them.

As events unfold and you encounter new characters in Final Fantasy XIV, you'll be able to add to it. These entries are jam-packed with information that you may skim over at your leisure.
