Final Fantasy XIV: How to unlock and complete the Master Role quest

The Endwalker expansion for Final Fantasy XIV included a new set of tasks known as role quests. These were first introduced in Shadowbringers, and they have since replaced specific job missions that were once popular. Instead, these quests were created distinctly dependent on the role of the chosen vocation. The role quests for Endwalker were divided into melee DPS, physical ranged DPS, magical DPS, healer, and tank categories. After completing all of these distinct role quests, you'll be able to take on a master role quest in Patch 6.1 to wrap up some loose ends.

To complete each specialized role quest, the player must first level up one of the role's jobs to 85. From 85 to 90, a new task in the chain will be unlocked, culminating in a final mission at level 90. The quests are originally obtained at Radz-ah-Han, but depending on the role, they will lead the player to a major city in Eorzea. The following are the initial quests for each job:

• Melee DPS – Storm Clouds Brewing
• Physical Ranged DPS – Seeds of Disquiet
• Magical DPS – Our Aching Souls
• Healer – Far From Free
• Tank – Shrouded in Peril

In Patch 6.1, completing the final quest in each of these chains at level 90 will unlock Bitter Cold, a new quest. This may be found in the same room as the role-specific quests in Radz-at-Han. This quest can be completed on any role and leads to Garlemald.

To finish the chain, simply follow the tasks until you reach a solo mission with a boss encounter at the conclusion. The fight isn't particularly challenging and is quite forgiving, so it shouldn't be too difficult. The Sum of Our Parts accomplishment and the Blessed Relief title are awarded for completing the final quest in the chain.
