Halo Infinite Season 2: Start Date, New Maps, New Modes, and Everything You Need to Know

It's no coincidence that Halo Infinite's first season took a long time to complete. The long-awaited Season 2 update for Halo Infinite is just a few weeks away, and it'll bring a slew of new content to Halo fans while also potentially addressing some of the game's faults and criticisms. Season Two is dubbed "Lone Wolves" by 343 Industries, and it is said to have new maps and modes, as well as new armor and cosmetics.

Halo Infinite Season 2 Start Date

The second season of Halo: Infinite will premiere on May 3rd, 2022. The specific launch date has yet to be disclosed, but the Season is expected to begin at the same time for all participants and platforms.

Season Two Maps for Halo Infinite

Catalyst and Breaker are two new maps in Lone Wolves, according to 343 Industries.

Catalyst Map - Catalyst is a symmetrical map that is nestled deep within the Forerunner Structure. This beautiful map features waterfalls that cascade into an overgrown area, as well as a light bridge that spans a big drop area that joins the two sides of the map.

Breaker is set in a Banished shipbreaking scrapyard, with two gigantic chunks of debris serving as team bases and a massive plasma-cutting beam drawing a line across the battlefield.

Season 2 introduces new modes.

The new modes haven't been revealed yet, but it's assumed that 343 will do so soon. The Waypoint Blog, on the other hand, pointed out that Catalyst was designed to be a CTF map, but it also works nicely with the new Land Grab Mode. Breaker, on the other hand, is claimed to have begun life as a CTF map, with high-stakes moments centered around that gigantic cutting beam.

On the other modes, 343 hasn't been completely mute. Last Spartan Standing, Land Grab, and King of the Hill were among the new modes announced last month on their waypoint blog. It's unclear how Halo Infinite got off the ground without King of the Hill, but they've had their hands full dealing with complaints so far.

Story Events & Theme

The Lone Wolf "Hunter" theme will be crucial to Halo Infinite Season 2. As a result, there will be cosmetics that are related to this. Season 2's story will consist of a mix of cinematics, story events, and Battle Pass goods with a Lone Wolf theme.
