After you've completed Kirby and the Forgotten Land's main story, you'll face remixes of stages you've already completed as well as stronger versions of the bosses in the post-game. Tropic Woods was the kind of boss encounter that any Kirby fan would expect. Almost every game in the series features a battle with Whispy Woods or relation to him, so fighting a tree isn't surprising. Here's how to defeat Forgo Bay's boss, Phantom Tropic Woods.

Phantom Tropic Woods, like all the other bosses in Isolated Isle: Forgo Dreams, has modified attacks that cause more damage and are generally faster. They'll start by dropping enormous coconuts and spikey foes into the arena, which will bounce around. Expect to spend the entire fight evading those spiked boys. At first, just run away from everything and take your shots as soon as you can.

The tree will then blow clouds at you that will spread and spin in a circle before disappearing after dumping those items on you. To capture a star and avoid damage, jump in the middle of the ring.

They'll blow you to the back of the arena and then put up a maze for you to get through once you've gotten Phantom Tropic Woods to about half health. Inside this region, there will be bouncing foes and plenty of stars for you to catch and throw at them when you get through.

Jump into the air and float to avoid being hit when the tree's roots break through the earth. They will take a deep breath and blow a large fog at you, but this will not harm you. It only temporarily blinds you. If you feel uncomfortable, we recommend running to the rear of the arena and waiting for it to pass.

One of the maze walls will eventually appear in front of Phantom Tropic Woods, causing the coconuts and spike foes to fall faster. Simply keep moving and attacking when you can, and you will gradually deplete their health.
