MLB The Show 22: How to complete the Cover Athletes Program
San Diego Studios (SDS) included some 88 OVR Cover Athletes cards in Diamond Dynasty when MLB The Show 22 was first released. These are Flashback and Legend cards of former and present MLB players who have appeared on the cover of an MLB The Show game before. Originally, a Cover Athletes option pack was only available to players who pre-ordered either the MVP or Deluxe Edition of MLB The Show 22. On April 21, SDS published a unique Cover Athletes program, which changed that. The program's last reward is a Choice Pack, which allows MLB The Show players to select one of the game's Cover Athlete cards and continue their quest for the 96 OVR Joe Mauer.
