MLB The Show 22: How to upgrade player attributes in Ballplayer and Road to the Show

In MLB The Show 22, you'll be starting from the ground up on your journey to the show. Users will start with poor hitting and/or throwing ratings, but through playing Road to the Show, these numbers can be improved. But what acts must be taken in order to improve these traits, and which ones should be targeted for special boosts? Let's go over a few things to keep in mind when it comes to upgrading player qualities in Road to the Show.

Playing games and doing well

It's important to realize right away that characters in Road to the Show will have their numbers raised after each game and at-bat. After each match in MLB The Show 22, users will watch their Ballplayer receive ratings boosts or downgrades on the final screen, depending on how well they performed. These adjustments are clearly based on the game's outcomes.

Taking pitches out of the zone and not swinging at them, for example, will result in a boost in vision. Furthermore, driving in runs during a close game will enhance not only your Power and/or Contact, but also your Clutch. These enhancements will appear not only at the end of the game but also immediately following the event in MLB The Show 22. Make a point of looking for the icons that appear after each incident.

Dynamic Obstacles

San Diego Studios will toss you a bone now and then, in addition to the standard increases from games. You may be asked to participate in a Dynamic Challenge in certain circumstances. When successfully completed, Dynamic Challenges provide an additional attribute boost.

Practice during off-days

You may have noticed that your coaches have been pestering you to work out or go to the cages on your off days. Don't miss out on these opportunities to gain easy attribute upgrades. How simple can it be? Simply choose a workout that improves the desired trait, and that's all. It's important to remember that some of these practice sessions include mini-games. One of the hitting drills, for example, involves moving the PCI around and locating the ball. Prepare yourself for those sessions.

Don't overlook archetypes.

We must not overlook the archetypes, which are quite significant. Archetypes not only affect attribute distribution but also provide a much broader benefit depending on the type. The Sparking Slugger archetype, for example, gives hitters a pre-determined bump in contact and power ratings. Moreover, if you enhance the archetype by completing RTTS Program tasks, those archetypes will give you an even bigger bonus. Make sure you've got the appropriate ones because some are for pitchers and others are for batters.
