Wastard is an NPC who appears late in your journey through Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, at first as a wandering ghost looking for his body. You'll confront said body near the end of the Karnok's Wall level, just past the Positive Headspace Fast Travel location, and it's one of the game's most difficult fights. It's like fighting another Fatemaker when you defeat Wastard, or Son of a Witch in consecutive fights if you desire to farm him. He has a variety of range spells, regeneration powers, and close-range strikes.

The battle is divided into two parts. His Ward and Health bars are taken up in the first phase. Wastard's primary attack is to move around the arena shooting blue skull projectiles at you. These skulls slam into you like ten semi-trucks at once, and it only takes one to rip your Ward and most of your health bar away. Unlike other Wonderlands bosses, there aren't a lot of garbage mobs spawning during the fight, so keep one or two alive in case you die.

When you empty Wastard's Ward bar and begin dealing damage to his health, he'll frequently call a spirit wyvern over his head, which replenishes his Ward, requiring you to deal even more damage to reclaim his health bar. Start blasting it with everything you have the moment Wastard stops casting spells at you and reaches above his head to summon the spirit. During the summon animation, Wastard will not attack, and you can affect the wyvern's health bar as soon as its name appears. It has more health than you might think, so use your most powerful weapons and abilities to destroy it.

When Wastard's Ward and health bars are depleted, he transforms into a little skeleton who spends most of its time racing towards you, clawing at your ankles. Backpedal as you deal damage, and the skeleton will reposition itself by digging underground. In this final phase, Wastard's skeleton has no more magic and will likely spend most of its time fleeing from you. Frost damage is your greatest buddy in this phase, and the skeleton's grey health bar doesn't decrease as quickly as the red or blue bars did in the previous phases. To get your loot, defeat Wastard's finicky skeleton.
