Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: What is ability damage?
In Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, you must keep track of dozens of stats. Each weapon may be micromanaged to work with your Fatemaker style, from the damage it deals with your spells and companions. This article will explain what ability damage is and how to use it to your advantage.
What is the scope of ability damage?
Your action skills are affected by your ability damage. This is the action at the top of each skill tree that your Fatemaker can choose from. These deal damage to your abilities, which differs slightly from the damage you deal with your gear. You can improve weapons and spells by equipping them with better gear or selecting talents that boost specific stats, such as elemental damage. You must have stats on your gear that clearly say that they increase ability damage when doing actions.
Because they don't deal damage, some of these actions, such as the Ambi-Hextrous talent for Spellshots, will be unaffected by any ability damage buffs or nerfs. Most actions, however, deliver a specific amount of damage based on your level, thus this is the number you'll boost by utilizing spells, wearing armor, and investing in abilities that improve ability damage. Once you've figured it out, you can even reset your talents to have your Fatemaker do the greatest damage with their actions while hardly touching your weapons.
