Rogue Legacy 2: How to beat The Void Beasts
The confrontation with the Void Beasts is the second boss you'll face throughout your Rogue Legacy 2 adventure. This fight takes place towards the end of the Axis Mundi zone and faces you against former pirate skeletons. It can be difficult to gain your bearings because these attackers are so large, and there are (eventually) two of them. Fortunately, the boss isn't too difficult if you have the correct class and attributes. Let's look at the attacks of The Void Beasts, as well as some basic advice on how to defeat these gigantic adversaries.
The Void Beasts’ moveset
The Void Beasts' moveset is fairly limited, despite the fact that there are two adversaries to deal with. Only three attacks will be shown, and both bosses will use the same moves, so you won't have to learn anything new when the second boss joins the fray. Their attacks are as follows:
Bone Toss – The Void Beasts fling a number of bones into the air, which arc down toward you. These are simple to avoid, but if both Beasts do it at the same time, it might make the area feel cramped.
Giant Bone – The Beasts will hurl forth a screen-filling bone after a windup that spins toward you until it's off the screen. It may take some practice to get the timing correct, but you can easily avoid this with your dash.
Jump Attack - The Beasts leap into the air and smash to the ground, shattering multiple bones in the process. Again, unless they're both doing it at the same moment, you should be able to jump over the bones and move in for an attack quite easily.
Enrage - After you've reduced the health of the first Void Beast to roughly 33%, the second Beast will join the fight. That's when things start to get frantic, because each boss will perform one of the above attacks on its own, swiftly filling the screen with debris to evade.
Strategy for beating The Void Beasts
The damage Insight of The Void Beasts should be unlocked first. Missing Body is a quest that offers you a +15 percent damage increase against bosses if you complete it. This should assist you to get over the top if you're close to finishing the fight.
Aside from that, we've discovered that the Duelist is the finest class for dealing with this boss. This is due to the Duelist's Combat Roll talent, which allows you to avoid damage with a single button press. You may utilize this talent to effortlessly dodge the Beasts' bone tosses and get in position to attack because it resets so quickly.
We'd also recommend attempting to obtain a character who possesses the Vampirism trait. With each strike, you regain a portion of your health, but you take more damage. However, if you combine it with the Combat Roll, you should be able to avoid most of the damage you take while keeping your health bar full.
Our final piece of advice is to go after the second Void Beast first (after they appear, of course). This boss has less health than the other, and having only one boss on the screen makes things a lot easier to handle. If you follow these guidelines, you should have no trouble defeating The Void Beasts and gaining entry to the Kerguelen Plateau region.
