In Rogue Legacy 2, spin kicks are one of your most useful abilities. They may be used to strike foes from above, but there is also a key enhancement in the shape of an Heirloom to unlock. Echo's Boots allow you to spin kick-off of things while also resetting your air dash. This is required to advance past the Citadel Agartha section on your journey to Axis Mundi and solve various platforming problems. Let's look at how to get it unlocked.

You'll arrive in the area shown in the screenshot above after exiting Citadel Agartha to the east. If you attempt to continue east, you will encounter a barricade. You'll need to use the teal lights in the connecting section to get past this point. There are various lanterns that you may spin kick-off of, as shown in the screenshot. You'll locate a hidden entrance if you carefully use them to get toward the upper right of the area. Follow the path that this door leads to.

You'll eventually arrive at the location depicted in the screenshot above. You won't be able to continue climbing through the tower if you try. Instead, spin kick to the top using the black roots on the right side of the tower. Then, to get to the Heirloom trial, return to the left side of the tower. This will require you to accomplish a number of pretty simple platforming tasks in order to learn how to efficiently use Echo's Boots. After passing the trials, you can continue playing the game and tackle the Axis Mundi section.
