2 Dead, 3 Trapped, and Multiple people injured in a reported house explosion in Pottstown

After what appears to have been an explosion that damaged and destroyed many homes in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, at least two individuals were murdered, and three other people are still trapped inside the residences. At approximately 8 o'clock in the evening, emergency personnel was dispatched to a residence located on the 400 block of North Washington Street.

The Public Affairs Coordinator for the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, Todd Stieritz, has confirmed with sources that at least two persons have been murdered and at least three others are still buried under the debris. Although they do not have a precise count, a significant number of people have been admitted to hospitals.

A number of locals stated that they heard a tremendous explosion in the vicinity, and video footage taken at the scene demonstrated that a number of houses were either completely destroyed or severely damaged. At least one of the houses has been razed to the ground. People who reside many miles away have reported feeling tremors in their homes.
