Elden Ring: How to avoid getting trapped in the room with the Banished Knight in Stormveil Castle

This situation has most likely occurred to you. You entered Stormveil Castle, followed a side road, and proceeded inside the castle, only to be imprisoned in a room with a Banished Knight in a Patches-style trap. Of course, it's possible that the person who actually pulled this stunt and confined you in a room only to be mauled to death by a knight wasn't immediately clear. If you wish to stop this problem, you must stop it at the source. In Elden Ring, here's how to escape being stuck in the room with the Banished Knight in Stormveil Castle.

Of all, having Gostoc notify his friends to open the gate is the most obvious approach to escape being stuck in the room. To get to the other end of the castle, run straight through while avoiding a barrage of arrows from various ballistas. Of course, this does not sound like the ideal idea, so you should probably avoid using the main gate and instead use the sideway, as Gostoc advised. If you use the sideway and have a long enough weapon, such as a spear, you can assault the wall next to the door to entice the knight to leave before entering. You may also avoid becoming his practice dummy as a result of this.

Gostoc is an interesting NPC. He acts eerily similar to Patches and is the one who locked you in the room where you most likely perished while exploring the castle. While he soon becomes a merchant as a result of his deception, this does not excuse his conduct. You can avoid being trapped within the room if you kill Gostoc before entering. Unfortunately, this does not make the knight flee, but it does allow you to simply flee.
