Elden Ring: How to get the Watchdog’s Staff

In the Lands Between, you may have encountered the Watchdogs. These stone foes wield a staff and slam it down on the ground to do massive damage. Surprisingly, you can also grab their weapon. The Watchdog's Staff is a strength-based weapon that can cast spells without requiring intellect. It has Crozier's Sorcery skill, which lets you create glintstone projectiles that pursue after targets.

You must travel to Liurnia of the Lakes in order to receive this weapon. This is the location north of Limgrave that can be reached by passing through Stormveil Castle or walking down the cliffside route. If you are new to the game or under-leveled, you should avoid Stormveil because it requires you to face both Margit and Godrick. By walking to the broken bridge east of Stormveil Castle and following the neighboring cliffs, you can access the cliffside walkway.

Once you've arrived at Liurnia, head north to the other side of the lake. After there, head south to the Road's End Catacombs. These catacombs are nestled away into the cliffside and can be hard to find. Make your way to the first enormous room through the catacombs. Strike the wall close to the stairwell at the bottom of the chamber. This will uncover a secret room containing a few imps. When you defeat the imps, the Watchdog's Staff will appear behind them.
