Lost Ark: How to fix the can’t see party members issue

Consider this scenario: Two Lost Ark gamers that share the same server and characters wish to play together. They meet near the Chaos Dungeon bulletin board in Luterra Castle but are astonished to discover that despite being in the same location on the same server, they cannot see one other. Because they've never seen this before, they're likely to assume it's a bug and restart the game in an attempt to solve it, which will almost certainly fail. They have no idea that the enormous and popular MMO's servers have in-game population counter-measures in place to reduce server load and system strain caused by simultaneously rendering a large player base.

Channels: Inter-server sub-servers

The separation of channels was what these players were dealing with. Each Lost Ark server has five channels, which further divide the player population into smaller, more manageable groups. When a player joins a server, they are immediately assigned to one of the five channels based on the collective busyness of each channel, with the player joining the clearest channel available. Once logged in, the player can change channels by selecting one from the drop-down menu above the mini-map in the top-right corner of the user interface.

The process of switching channels takes about five seconds to reload the server, followed by a ten-second pause to prevent quick server switching. With this in mind, if a group of gamers wants to play together, they must first organize the server and channel where they will meet.
