Lost Ark servers will be temporarily offline: Patch, server downtime, maintenance schedule, and more

The Lost Ark servers will be taken down again today while Smilegate does their weekly server maintenance. The game servers will be shut down today, May 12, 2022, at 12 a.m. PT / 7 a.m. UTC / 9.00 a.m. CEST, according to their official Twitter tweet. During this period, they will patch in a new update to solve some of the issues that the game is now experiencing. The servers are expected to be unavailable for around four hours. It may, however, last a little longer depending on how successfully the developer's patching procedure goes. As a result, users should expect the servers to relaunch at 4 a.m. PT/11 a.m. UTC/1 p.m. CEST. Players who want to log back into the game may have to wait a bit longer for the servers to be fully operational again if the maintenance period lasts longer than expected.

Lost Ark to introduce the May 12 patch update later on today

The May 12 Lost Ark update isn't particularly significant, and the devs will be concentrating on backend upgrades during this maintenance period. Smilegate will work to resolve some of the issues that are currently plaguing the servers, but will not make any big modifications to the game. However, one bug fix that will be included in the May 12 update is a fix for the PvP leaderboard issues. Lost Ark is currently experiencing a problem that prevents the leaderboards from loading on numerous servers, and this has been one of the most common complaints from the community in recent weeks.

Furthermore, the developers have stated that the reason for today's tiny update is due to the May Content Update, which will take place next week. From Legion Raid-Valtan to Deskaluda Guardian Raid, Smilegate has a lot of new content planned for the upcoming update.

Because the May Content Update for Lost Ark is scheduled to launch on Thursday, May 19, 2022, they are keeping today's patch brief and will not be introducing too many new features in the MMO at this time. The servers are set to go live at 4 a.m. PT/11 a.m. UTC/1 p.m. CEST, as previously stated. However, depending on how well the maintenance is going, it may take longer.
