MultiVersus: How to set up a PlayStation controller
Because of Steam's customization, the PC can be the ideal gaming platform. Steam will let you set up a PlayStation controller for MultiVersus. This is how you do it.
Downloading a firmware update
The PlayStation controller is compatible on the PC, although installing the official Sony firmware to use the DualShock 4 or DualSense can significantly speed up the process. To make this work, you'll need Windows 10 or Windows 11. Click the blue "Download" option in the instructions section. Then run the.exe file that has been downloaded to your computer. Install the firmware on your computer by following the instructions and accepting the EULA. When you run the program, it will inform you whether you are up to date or not.
Get a config on Steam Big Picture
The majority of the time, an Xbox controller will automatically connect to MultiVersus, whereas PlayStation controllers are much less likely to do so. To remedy this, go to Steam Big Picture by pressing the top-right box icon. It's highlighted in the image above. Then, on the main menu of Steam Big Picture, enable the controller and locate the gear symbol in the top right. Enable "PlayStation Configuration Support" under "Controller Settings." While playing the wonderful MultiVersus, Steam will now be able to scan the controller and switch it on.
However, you may wish to look for a controller configuration. Select Library from the Steam Big Picture mode's main menu, and then click or push a button on the MultiVersus panel. On the left, select "Manage...", then "Controller Configuration" under Steam Input. By pressing the square button, you can change each input or find a config that has been uploaded to Steam. There aren't any at the time of writing, so go with the default "Gamepad" choice.
Now launch MultiVersus and use your PlayStation controller to play the critically renowned platform fighter on PC. Oh, and it's completely free to play.
