Pokemon GO: How to Catch Scarf Lapras During Water Festival

This year's Water Festival event in Pokemon GO contains a Lapras Wearing a Scarf for players to catch and add to their collections. Dewpider and its evolution, Araquanid, make its Pokemon GO premiere at the 2022 Water Festival, with these dapper-looking Lapras. To coincide with the premiere of the new Poni Island Special Research on May 10, Tapu Fini, the guardian deity of Poni Island, will make his Pokemon GO debut in Five-Star Raids. However, because the Lapras is the star of the show, here's how to capture Lapras Wearing a Scarf in Pokemon GO.

How to Catch Lapras Wearing a Scarf in Pokemon GO

During the Water Festival event, there are several methods to encounter Lapras Wearing a Scarf, however, Three-Star Raids are the most common. The event will introduce a new Water-themed lineup to Three-Star Raids, which will contain the following Pokemon:

• Alolan Raichu
• Lapras Wearing a Scarf
• Feraligatr
• Azumarill
• Ludicolo

If you defeat Lapras Wearing a Scarf in a Raid battle, you'll have the chance to capture it and add it to your collection. It may also be shining, so complete as many Raids as possible before the event concludes on Friday, May 20 to boost your chances of discovering a shiny variety.

A Lapras Wearing a Scarf encounter will be granted for completing the event-specific Timed Research assignments available during the Water Festival, in addition to Three-Star Raids. You'll get 50 Gyarados Mega Energy, 1000 XP, 1000 Stardust, and a Dewpider encounter for completing the Timed Research. The missions will revolve around capturing Pokemon, so they shouldn't be too difficult to complete. Completing Field Research Tasks during the Water Festival event can also result in a Lapras Wearing a Scarf encounter, albeit this is an uncommon occurrence. Pokemon GO Water Festival Details

In your region, the 2022 Water Festival Event will run from Tuesday, May 12 at 10:00 AM local time through Friday, May 20 at 8:00 PM local time. That means you'll get a whole week to take advantage of the increased spawns of Water-type Pokemon, the new Raid roster, and all of the new Research Tasks.
