For the Alola to Alola Special Research ticket, you must choose one of the four islands. During the event, each comes with specific goodies and increased encounters.

All Melemele island rewards

Those that choose the Melemele island assignment will be required to do tasks and spend time with their friends during the Alola to Alola event. The Ula'Ula island trail is ideal for individuals who appreciate taking on throwing challenges. You'll need to catch a certain number of Pokémon and make certain throws to complete the challenges on this ticket. The prizes for completing the Ula'Ula island Special Ticket path are as follows.

All Poni island rewards

Poni Island is the final option available to you. You'll face many Team Rocket grunts and leaders in this Special Ticket path, and you'll have to compete in the Go Battle League against other trainers. These are the prizes you'll get if you finish these missions.

Which one should you choose?

You should concentrate on the rewards you desire. The expensive Battle Pass from Poni Island is good, but if you don't already have this Pokémon, the Alolan Marowak encounter is even better. However, Alolan Marowak will only learn the charged move shadow bone if you evolve a Cubone during the event, so the encounter on Akala Island isn't really useful. The incubators, on the other hand, are a welcome addition. It all boils down to personal preference and the type of Pokémon Go prizes you wish to obtain.
