Rainbow Six Extraction Nightmare Fog: How to decrease your Neurotoxin level

In Rainbow Six Extraction, the Nightmare Fog live event offers a major new element that dramatically affects how you approach missions. The purple mist can be found in different places of each sub-zone, prompting you to take new paths and angles through the Archaean swarms. If you're exposed for too long, you'll start to have hallucinations and your Neurotoxin level may even cause damage. This article will show you how to reduce your Neurotoxin level without endangering your team or objective.

What do Neurostims do?

A Neurostim is the only technique to reduce your Neurotoxin levels. REACT created this new form of consumable as a direct response to the Nightmare Fog. Each Neurostim lowers your Neurotoxin level by 35%, which should be enough to get you through at least one bracket. Neurostims can be found in every airlock, as well as the barricaded safe zones within sub-zones and evacuation locations. If you don't use them when you have the opportunity, the entire team will suffer.

When your Neurotoxin level reaches 30%, you'll start to see Archaean hallucinations. Some may rush you and slash at you, while others will stand in the background and tempt you into shooting them. Others can appear in the corner of your view and vanish in a second, leaving you to wonder what is genuine. These aren't particularly hazardous, but they can cause problems for your team.

Your vision will blur and you will be unable to see anything at 65 percent, making the hallucinations even more dangerous. Finally, when your Neurotoxin level reaches 100%, you'll start taking three points of damage per second until it drops below that level. Even 99 percent is preferable, but you'll need a Neurostim for that. We got a sneak peek at the Nightmare Fog live event, and we think it adds a lot of value and moves the game forward in terms of how it respects your time.
