Rapper Gunna has surrendered to Police in Fulton County after Young Thug and other YSL members hit with RICO charges

Gunna, according to reports, has surrendered himself to authorities. Gunna was detained late yesterday (May 11) on a charge of Conspiracy to Violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, according to a report from local Atlanta news station CBS46. Last night, Gunna and Young Thug were charged with RICO, and the following day, another 26 YSL members and affiliates were charged with RICO.

A specific charge against Thug was a conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act, as well as participation in criminal street gang activity (both of which were filed against him). Thug appeared in court for the first time since his arrest, which took place yesterday (May 10). At this point, it is unclear whether or not he will be permitted to post bail. Fani Willis, the District Attorney for Fulton County, also spoke at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

It was in this context that she addressed the large-scale operation against YSL and stated that her primary focus is on street gangs, claiming that they generate "conservatively 75 to 80 percent of all violent crime" in the communities where she is working.
