V Rising: How to get Iron
Do you want to know where you may find Iron in V Rising? At the outset of a playthrough, Stunlock's open-world survival and crafting game does a terrific job at drip-feeding your vital knowledge, but once you get to the end of the early game, that well of information starts to run dry. Many players appear to be stuck on the same question: where on earth do you go to find Iron? Thankfully, the solution is straightforward. We'll show you how to get Iron in V Rising and what you should expect to find there. In V Rising, iron is a crucial resource. You won't be able to proceed beyond simple Copper tools and weapons without it. And because it's critical to maintain improving your gear level during playing, you'll need a lot of Iron to survive in the game's latter zones.
Where to get Iron in V Rising
Unlike Copper, which can be found anywhere, Iron in V Rising can only be obtained by visiting the massive Haunted Iron Mine in the map's center. The Haunted Iron Mine is found on the map's second area, the Dunley Farmlands, on the map's southern shore. The Dunley Farmlands are home to many more powerful opponents than the Farbane Woods, and the Haunted Iron Mine is one of the most dangerous of them all, featuring a range of frightening undead enemies. Only attempt to get Iron from the mine once you've reached level 35 or higher.
The good news is that iron may be found in plenty at the Haunted Iron Pit, not just in the rocks themselves but also in chests scattered around the mine. To mine the iron, you'll need a Copper Mace (or better), so be sure to bring one.
The odd bit of Iron can also be found inside the big golden chests that can be found in various places of the Farbane Woods and other regions, but they only give you a small amount of Iron. You'll need to travel to the Haunted Iron Mine for all your iron requirements.
Once you've obtained Iron Ore, you can bring it back to your castle and use the Furnace to process it into Iron Bars. You should also construct a Smithy to begin creating important items with your newly acquired Iron.
