V Rising: How to Get Servants

You can enlist the services of minions and thralls to do your bidding and collect resources for you if you become a semi-powerful vampire in V Rising. Because V Rising is still a survival game, obtaining resources and maintaining your Castle Heart charge is a challenge that all vampires must face. Thankfully, servants can take care of a lot of the tiresome work so you can focus on killing enemies and getting new gear. Everything you need to know about servants in V Rising is right here.

How to Get Servants in V Rising

You can unlock servants through normal gameplay by completing the game's provided quests. You will eventually be given the Army of Darkness quest, which requires you to control a human and turn them into a servant. This will get you access to the Castle Throne blueprint, allowing you to manage your slaves and dispatch them to gather resources on your behalf. To build a Castle Throne, you'll need 16 planks, 8 copper ingots, and 1 Greater Blood Essence.

A Servant Coffin will be required for your servant. Because each Castle Heart can hold up to nine of these, playing with a group will allow you to optimize your resource input by pooling all of your thralls. Interact with your Castle Throne and choose a place on the map to send your servant on tasks. Then, in the background, your worker will harvest resources for you while you focus on more enjoyable chores.

Each assignment will have a distinct possibility of success and modifiers that will make your servants' experience more difficult. You can avoid this by sending a servant with strong perks and changing the mission length, as shorter missions are more dangerous. After a mission is completed, visit your servant in their Servant Coffin to claim their prizes.

The Best Servant Types

Not all servants are made equal, and choosing a prime specimen to enroll as your thrall will make a significant difference in their productivity. Your servant's effectiveness is determined by five primary factors:
  • Class
  • Faction
  • Blood Type
  • Blood Quality
  • Gear
Your servant's Blood Type will decide which perks it receives, comparable to the perks you gain from feeding on that unit type. When a thrall is recruited, the Blood Quality of the servant influences how potent the bonuses are. The servant's Faction, which is defined by the location from where it hails, grants it another passive bonus, and the gear you give it will boost its stats correspondingly.

Of course, your servant's overall Class is quite important. From hunters to archers to bandits, this is the type of human you've captured. Bandits are greatest at gathering resources, archers are natural hunters, and so on. It's preferable to combine your desired Class with a complementing Faction bonus to get the most out of both benefits.

For example, when hunting locations populated by monsters and demons, all Hunters have a perk that reduces the difficulty by 100. Hunters from the Dunley Farmlands region will gain 20% greater loot from hunts in the area. If you catch a servant who meets those requirements, you should send them on hunting assignments in that area to maximize earnings while minimizing risk.

Optimizing your servant roster will save you time and money in the long term by allowing you to spend more time doing the things you enjoy while they perform the mundane tasks. Furthermore, stronger servants are less likely to die, allowing you to spend less time looking for replacements.
