V Rising: Where to find sulphur ore

With stations like a Sawmill and a Tannery, you can enhance your castle's manufacturing capabilities in V Rising, but additional modifications will require more specialized materials than the basics that can find in plenty near the starting location. Sulphur ore is one such resource that can be difficult to come by. It's always a good idea to keep an eye out for any unusual materials you could come across while trekking through Farbane Woods. Look for mining nodes with a very pale yellow colour, like illustrated above, to find sulphur. You can mine it with any weapon, although maces do additional damage when mining, so you'll get more done faster if you go for a more blunt approach. You'll also need to upgrade your weapon to the reinforced bone variant.

Best sulphur farming location

Like copper, you can locate sulphur ore nodes all over the planet, but you're better off mining it from a region where you can find it in bigger quantities. Try the fittingly called Bandit Sulphur Quarry on the western side of Farbane Woods, as pictured above.

However, before going to the quarry, make sure you're prepared to cope with the local foes, such as the hazardous bombers. To at least match the highest level foes you're likely to encounter in the area, we recommend getting to roughly Gear Score 32.

Uses for sulphur ore

Sulphur ore is most commonly used to make explosives, which are very beneficial for gathering ore from larger nodes that can't be mined with weapons alone. You'll need an Alchemy Table to make explosives, which you can get by hunting Clive the Fire Starter and collecting his V Blood.
