V Rising: How to make a prison cell
V Rising provides plenty of thralls and captive mortals to do your bidding, and no vampire fantasy is complete without them. While enslaving people to become servants is a viable option, players can also keep certain humanoids imprisoned in their castles, ready to serve as a light snack at any time. Players will need to return to the Blood Altar in order to create the prison cell. Vincent the Frostbringer, a level 40 boss, will eventually provide the recipe for a jail cell; players must track him down via Blood Altar and consume his blood to obtain the requisite construction.
Vincent is a wandering boss who likes to walk about Dunley Farmlands with two archers. Players should be moderately equipped with potions and gear before tracking this monster due to frequent freezes that render the player immobile for long periods of time.
Vincent the Frostbringer's defeat grants a new dash and shield abilities, as well as the recipe for Reinforced Planks and, of course, the Prison Cell. To find the Prison Cell, which costs 12 iron ingots to construct, press 'B' to open the build menu, then go to the Production page, then to the Dominance tab within.
After the Prison Cell has been constructed, the next logical step is to populate it (or as many as have been constructed) with human hostages. Players can maintain their blood levels high without having to enter towns or other populated locations if they have enough filled prison cells. This comes in handy if you die - respawning at a fortress, feeding on a prisoner, and then teleporting out will considerably speed up corpse runs.
Unfortunately, replenishing the Prison Cell is a time-consuming process. Only one humanoid can be charmed at a time, therefore players will have to choose a worthy humanoid, entice them, lead them back to the castle, and imprison them. For many, simply getting out and finding useful blood along the road seems like a far better use of time.
