Asus ROG Phone 6: Release date, Price, Specifications, Design, and More details
One of the greatest ways to enjoy mobile gaming while also having a high-end smartphone available is with a ROG (Republic of Gamers) phone from Asus. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like you'll have to wait too long for the series' upcoming installments. As the ROG Phone 6's official debut draws near, here is all you need to know about it.
Asus ROG Phone 6: Release date
In addition to the time zones mentioned in the official launch teaser, Asus has now announced that the ROG Phone 6 series will be unveiled on July 5 at 1pm BST/8am EST. The real on-sale date is likely to be later, especially for western fans, as there is sometimes a significant delay between the phones' Asian launch and their availability in Europe and the US. Of course, this will only be when the phones are shown. The ROG Phone 5S and 5S Pro models, for instance, debuted on August 24, 2021, but only in Taiwan; it took until November for them to be widely available in the US and Europe.
Not every model will debut internationally, either. In some regions of Asia in March 2021, the previous Asus ROG Phone 5 and 5 Pro were released; however, other markets only received them in May. While the UK received several 5 configurations, it did not receive the 5 Pro. Customers in Europe received both, however, those in the US only received one ROG Phone 5. Asus ROG 6: Price and Model
There isn't a firm price provided because the model hasn't been released yet. To get an idea of what you might have to pay when the ROG Phone 6 does finally come, we can look at how the previous models stacked up. The prices for the most recent two versions, the 5 and 5S, were comparable. The price of the 5S Pro increases to £1,099/$1,299 from the normal 5S model's £999/$1,099 price. The €1,299 5 Ultimate was the third model in the ROG Phone 5 series. You should keep in mind that a few Indian websites, like GadgetsNow, have reported that the ROG Phone 6 will cost 59,999 Rs while the ROG Phone 6 Ultimate will cost 79,948 Rs.
Asus ROG Phone 6: Specs and Design
One possible glimpse of the future ROG Phone's design is available to us, and it comes from an unlikely place: one of Asus's other phones. A sketch of what unmistakably looks like the ROG Phone 6 is included in the Zenfone 8 Android 12 update, either accidentally or as a deliberate Easter egg for ardent enthusiasts. Although the design hasn't changed much, it now has a larger camera module with the flash located next to the three lenses and a larger rear display that runs down the middle of the phone.
Even though Tenaa certification reveals a very similar design, this might have only been a concept. This is frequently the final step before a product is made available in China. Although this may only be a concept drawing and not the final design that Asus will choose, it offers us an idea of the options the business is contemplating. Since the ROG Phones are primarily designed for gamers, you can be sure that they will have some serious hardware within. We already know that at least one of the series' phones will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, which is currently the most potent on the market, thanks to an official announcement.
If the most recent benchmarks are to be trusted, performance is encouraging. A Geekbench 5 multi-core score of 4238 places it somewhat above the ROG Phone 5s, which was powered by the Snapdragon 888+ last year, according to GSMArena, but it might not make much of a difference in actual use. A new Adreno 730 GPU, however, is said to have clock speeds that are 10% higher, which will increase gaming framerates.
Asus ROG Phone 6 Specifications

The Red Magic 7 has a touch sampling rate of 720Hz, placing it ahead of one of the ROG Phone 5S lineup's greatest competitors. We don't see Asus allowing this to continue, therefore we're hoping that when the new model is released, it will meet or exceed that number. The improved 165Hz screen refresh rate (up from 144Hz), three 64Mp rear cameras, and a somewhat smaller 5,850mAh battery are the main takeaways. It is also a little bit lighter than the previous year at 229g.
It's unlikely that the ROG Phone 6's display will be any larger than the 6.78-inch one that came standard with the 5S variants. This isn't because of hardware restrictions, but rather because you need to be able to put the device in your pocket at some point. Expect the same 6,000mAh battery and FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, allowing you to play games for longer periods of time.
Similar to the 5S, rumors indicate that the highest configuration will include 18GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, with a range of additional options starting at 8GB/128GB. To meet all of your connectivity needs, there should also be 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2 available. The 5S cameras had a 64Mp Sony IMX686 sensor, a 13Mp 125-degree ultra-wide lens, and a 5Mp macro lens. Although some of these could be upgraded to meet the bigger sensors supplied by other phones, as the Rog Phone 6 is more focused on gaming performance than optics, we believe this setup may remain the same.
