Cuphead DLC: How to solve the Graveyard Puzzle

Even while Cuphead is mostly concerned with bosses, there are still other problems to resolve when you explore the new island in The Delicious Last Course DLC. Continue reading to find out how to approach The Graveyard Puzzle, which can be particularly difficult to understand.

Before the Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course graveyard puzzle

In order to make the problem available, two steps must be taken. Finding the cemetery on your own is the first step. You can either walk clockwise and combat Glumstone the Giant and Mortimer Freeze to reach there, or you can move counterclockwise and fight the Moonshine Mob and Esther Winchester. It is in the middle of the island. Alternately, by using the secret route, you can completely avoid bosses. View the screenshot that follows. You can move down to the cemetery by slipping through the trees straight behind the shop.

You'll need the Broken Relic one more time to actually solve the challenge. It's one of the new additions to Porkrind's Emporium that was made possible by the DLC, and it only costs one cent. Ghosts will show up when you look at the gravestones in the cemetery while carrying this in your inventory (it doesn't need to be equipped).

The problem with this conundrum is that everyone will have a different answer. The three right tombstones in the group need to be examined. Fortunately, there is a common approach to tackling it. There are several winners' stands on the island's north side, between Porkrind's Emporium and Glumstone the Giant. You can learn which gravestones to inspect by speaking to the three racers that are present.

Look at the screenshot up there; you'll see that the third-place finisher's speech bubble contains the phrases "right" and "up." Accordingly, the top right tombstone in the line-up is the third one. Learn your unique combination by speaking with the first, second, and third-place finishers in the race. The middle tombstone will light if you examine the others in that sequence. You will be prompted to "take a nap" if you choose to do so after looking at this. Selecting yes will allow you to confront the secret Angel and Devil boss in a dream state.

The big prize in this game is the boss battle; for information on how to defeat the angel and devil bosses, visit our boss guide. You can keep the secondary prize, though, for the duration of the game. After defeating the monster, the Broken Relic will change into the Cursed Relic, a charm that when worn reduces your HP to only one. Although it's not the most enjoyable reward, it provides an additional tool for those who wish to increase the difficulty of the Cuphead challenge.
