Cuphead DLC: How to beat all King’s Leap challenges

The Delicious Last Course DLC for Cuphead has a number of challenging boss fights, but you'll also need to defeat the King of Games' own army of champions. Your only method of defense in these battles is to parry and evade; neither weapons nor charms are permitted. You receive cash for completing each task, so it's worthwhile to complete them all. This is the procedure.

How to find The King’s Leap

The Moonshine Mob boss fight is immediately near the King's Leap's first location. The King of Games will descend a ladder, so ascend it to confront him and take on the first task. After finishing this, the ladder will be located across from the boss battle with Esther Winchester. It will move immediately adjacent to the Glumstone the Giant boss battle after the second and third challenges, where it will remain.

King’s Leap Challenge 1 – The Pawns

Beating a team of Pawns is your first obstacle to overcome. They will alternately leap down from above. As they advance toward you, leap up and block their pink heads. You must carry out this action with each piece, but keep in mind that until the task is finished, even the headless pieces will drop in and roam around. Focus on your remaining goals as you prepare to leapfrog everyone else.

King’s Leap Challenge 2 – The Knight

The second challenge pits you against a Knight, whose pink mane you must parry. It uses three unique attacks. The first is a semicircular cut across its skull, which is followed by a brief period of panting, giving you time to strike back. The second attack is a charge across the screen, which you can parry while it crosses and then follows up with a second or third attack while it recovers on the other side. Be careful since the third attack is a fake-out. Even though it is not attacking, the Knight will begin to pant, which indicates that an upward slash is about to be made. The wisest course of action is to withdraw and wait for the other two attacks.

King’s Leap Challenge 3 – The Bishop

The third champion of the King is a Bishop, whose spectral head drifts throughout the space. Be careful not to get touched by it or the nearby censers because doing so will hurt. When all of the lights have been extinguished, the Bishop will become pink and you will be able to parry. Touch the lighted candles to put them out. This procedure needs to be repeated several times, putting out fewer and fewer candles each time.

King’s Leap Challenge 4 – The Rook

The fourth test pits the player against a Rook who acts as the executioner. It will cause heads to turn toward you as it sits on the screen's edge sharpening its ax. While the pink ones can be parried back toward the Rook, you must avoid the skulls. To knock him out, you'll need to whack him with several juggles, as it takes a few to get them to hit.

King’s Leap Challenge 5 – The Queen

The Queen is last but surely not least. You will have to deflect the fuses on the cannons along the ground when they are lined up to shower her with cannonballs if you want to avoid doing direct damage to her. Be prepared to avoid the fabergé eggs that she will release when you accomplish this. Be patient because the timing is tough and it takes a few bullets to end the battle.
