Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga: Where to find the Crait Outpost password for the Highest Bidder puzzle

The Highest Bidder puzzle in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a difficult one that necessitates patience above all else. This is because of the game's odd, on-off technique of allowing you to freely travel its far-flung cosmos. So, while the Highest Bidder puzzle can be found early in Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, the Crait Outpost password won't be revealed until you've completed one level and a few tasks in Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker.

How to start the Highest Bidder puzzle

Travel to Canto Bight on Cantonica and head north towards the city from the landing pad. Continue up the stairwell and turn right into the first arched passageway on the right. Continue north on this alleyway, up more stairs, and turn right at the top. You'll run into an NPC named Sketchy Scoundrel just around the bend. When you talk to him, he'll mention a Crait Outpost contact and ask if you know the password. You'll have to go to the Crait Outpost to get it if you don't already have it. This is where things get a little more difficult.

How to get the Crait Outpost password

Later in Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, you'll find yourself on the Crait Outpost, but you won't be able to switch to the Protocol Droid until you've unlocked Free Play in the Crait Outpost, which you may achieve by completing the Ground A-salt level. The issue is that Ground A-salt is the final level of Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, therefore finishing it completes the entire episode, preventing you from free-roaming.

After A Skip and a Jump (the opening level of Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker), you'll get another chance to free wander. You can use the Galaxy Map to get to the Crait Outpost after collecting the training ribbons in the Ajan Kloss Resistance Camp and watching the Running the Training Course Story event.

When you return to the Crait Outpost, you may see that the Highest Bidder puzzle sign no longer indicates the location of the Protocol Terminal you require (it only marks the locked terminal back in Canto Bight). A network of platforms connected by ladders may be found on the north side of the Crait Outpost landing pad. Climb the ladders, then turn left at the intersection to reach the tunnel at the top.

As you enter the next chamber, look to your right for the Protocol Terminal. Switch to a Protocol Droid and utilize the terminal to obtain the password for the Canto Bight Drop Point. Return to Canto Bight and enter the password in the Protocol Terminal beside the Sketchy Scoundrel. To finish the Highest Bidder objective, go through the adjoining door and take up the key to the TIE/SF Space Security Fighter.
