On June 28th, the Overwatch 2 beta will be released on consoles, and fans of the game can immediately sign up to play on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Series X/S. OW2 has had a busy month in terms of news. We've heard that a free-to-play early access PvP debut is planned for October, as well as a look at Junker Queen, the series' 34th hero. While the game's free-to-play early access debut is thrilling, it won't be available until the end of June.

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR OVERWATCH 2 BETA ON CONSOLE

Before June 28th, you must join up for the Overwatch 2 console beta. Choose your platform on the OW2 opt-in website. For PS4 and PS5, choose either PlayStation Americas, Europe, Japan, or Asia, and for Xbox One and Series X/S, choose Xbox. A computer is also available. Request beta access after you've chosen your platform. On June 28th, any invitations you receive will be delivered to the email address linked with your Battle.net account, and you will redeem the code in your chosen store.

If you don't get an invite before June 28th, the good news is that extra codes will be sent out on July 5th, according to Blizzard. According to their FAQ, everyone who registers up will receive beta access by July 14th. If you want immediate access starting June 28th, you'll need to purchase the Watchpoint Pack from the PSN, Microsoft, or Battle.net stores.

Overwatch 2 SECOND DEMO RELEASE DATE

The second Overwatch 2 beta, which will be available on PlayStation and Xbox platforms, will be released on June 28th. We also know that the PvP component of OW2 will be released as a completely free-to-play early access title on October 4th. Blizzard's website states that the second demo will end on July 14th, implying that it will run for two weeks. The initial demonstration had a mixed response. Some reviews suggest it brings new life to the stale shooter, while others claim it's entertaining but feel like Overwatch 1.5.
