Pokémon Go: Is Golisopod good and how to best use it
Golisopod is a popular Pokémon among many gamers, and you may now catch it in Pokémon Go. To evolve a Wimpod into a Golisopod, you'll need to collect enough Wimpod, which debuted during the Pokémon TCG Crossover event. Is Golisopod a good Pokémon to utilize in battle, and how can you best use it in Pokémon Go?
How to best use Golisopod
Golisopod is a Pokémon that is both Bug and Water in nature. It is vulnerable to Electric, Flying, and Rock-type attacks, but not to Fighting, Ground, Ice, Steel, or Water-type attacks. With a maximum CP of 3,162, an attack of 184, a defense of 190, and stamina of 154, Golisopod outperforms many Bug-type Pokémon. It will have a CP of 2,500, with an attack of 161, a defense of 171, and stamina of 140 if used in the Ultra League. Golisopod's overall stats are respectable, but its moveset lacks any powerful options that would make it a viable alternative. The waterfall is the finest rapid move you can teach Golispod, and x-scissor and aerial ace are the best-charged moves you can teach him. Golisopod's moveset is diverse, making it effective against Pokémon of the Bug, Dark, Fighting, Fire, Grass, Psychic, and Rock types.
Despite possessing a wide moveset, Golisopod's attacks are not particularly effective. During combat, you can utilize the x-scissor on a regular basis, although it doesn't deal as much damage as the other quick move, waterfall. To get twice as much energy, change this out for rage cutter. However, the lack of power in the fury cutter is a drawback, and you may be putting yourself at a disadvantage by choosing this option.
Is Golisopod good?
We could have more to talk about if Golisopod had other moves, but as it stands, Golisopod is an average pick, not a great one. You'll mostly utilize it in the Ultra League, though you could use it against other players in the Great League. We don't recommend it because there are better Bug-type Pokémon in that category, such as Araquanid, Beedrill, and Escavalier. Golisopod is an excellent choice for raid battles or against Team Rocket grunts, and having it in your collection is always a good idea.
