The Cycle Frontier: Can you use a controller?

The Cycle: Frontier is a PvEvP game in which players are tasked with landing on the planet Fortuna III in pursuit of lost treasure and extraterrestrial fragments. Because it's a first-person shooter, it has its own set of fussy controls. However, some individuals prefer not to play PC games with a mouse and keyboard, which is why we've put together this guide to explain whether or not The Cycle: Frontier supports controllers.

Can you use a controller?

The Cycle: Frontier supports all major controllers and can be played with a mouse and keyboard, a controller, or a combination of the two. For the most part, you can use a wired or wireless Xbox controller, then switch to your mouse and keyboard for more precise menu clicking. We've discovered that while the controller is great for battling for your life on Fortuna III, it's not so great for inventory management on the space station. The cursor can veer erratically away from the button you're trying to press, resulting in a frustrating game of "pin the cursor on the button."

How to fix the controller not working properly

The Cycle: Frontier had a lot of controller support when it first came out, but it still has it now. Despite the controller being in use, there have been moments when we've found that our pointer has vanished or converted into a mouse cursor. If you have any problems with this, or if your mouse disappears when you try to move it in a menu, exit the menu and then interact with it again.

Your cursor should reappear as a result of this. If it still doesn't work, exit the menu, hop a few times, and then re-enter. This, we believe, forces the game to recognize that you're using a controller and display you with the appropriate cursor.
