The Quarry: How to save Emma
If you're wondering how to save Emma in The Quarry, we've got you covered. The Quarry places nine camp counselors' lives in the player's hands and threatens them at nearly every turn. Emma is one of the first characters in the game to face fatal danger, so keep an eye on her. Here's everything you need to know about Emma's rescue in The Quarry.
HOW TO SAVE THE QUARRY EMMA: GENERAL TIPS
First and foremost, this article contains spoilers, so proceed only if you are ready for them. Ideally, you should play through the game before following this guide, but that is entirely your decision. Also, keep in mind that there are several variables at play. We know which decisions you should make to avoid risk, but things can still go wrong. Emma will encounter a lot of action in the game, so be prepared for some fast-paced situations. You should be able to keep Emma safe and sound if you choose the appropriate paths and complete those QTEs.
HOW TO SAVE THE QUARRY EMMA: FIRST DANGER
Emma is alone and underdressed the first time she encounters danger. She swims to the island and makes a video for her channel shortly after swimming with Jacob. You have a choice as she explores the island. Take the high road to the treehouse or the low route to the treehouse. You're better off taking the back route because you'll be able to pick up some hints along the way. You'll get to the treehouse either way, and this is certainly one of the most crucial choices in the game. Simply put, you have two options: either search the bags or open the trapdoor. Emma will die instantly if she opens the trapdoor. Instead, look through the bags. She'll find clothes inside, as well as some self-defense items, such as a taser and pepper spray.
Emma will open the trapdoor after you inspect the bags, and the werewolf will attack her, but now that she is dressed and prepared, she has a fighting chance. Take a short picture with the taser, then get the hell out of dodge. Emma will try to flee across the walkways, thus you must pass the QTE checks along the route. Use the pepper spray to fend off the werewolf as it catches up to her. Get to the zipline and use it to flee the werewolf, then use the second zip line to leave the island afterward.
HOW TO SAVE THE QUARRY EMMA: SECOND DANGER
You'll need the firecrackers in this case. Do you recall the general store's safe? Along with the shotgun ammunition, there were firecrackers. You have the option of taking the firecrackers or not, and you might reasonably conclude that bringing fireworks into the forest is a bad idea. Instead, disregard Smokey Bear and any other safety concerns and continue to use the pyrotechnics. Emma will make her way to the lodge after leaving the island. Jedediah and his son Bobby will approach her on the way. The hunters will try to capture her, but she will fend them off with a quick kick and a firecracker to the face. Emma will manage to flee and return to the lodge.
HOW TO SAVE THE QUARRY EMMA: THIRD DANGER
You'll need the ideal situation, just like you did with Abigail. Dylan should not have gone down into the basement while searching Chris Hackett's office because Abigail should still be alive. If you've done everything correctly, Abi and Emma will be sheltering in the storm cellar beneath the lodge near the end of the game. The only thing to be concerned about is a werewolf attack on the lodge. The werewolf's attention will be drawn to Kaitlyn and Dylan, but the other girls must keep safe as well.
Emma and Abi will take the ladder up to the office while they're in the basement, which will only work if Dylan didn't break it. They'll find Chris' security room together and watch Kaitlyn and Dylan on the cameras. They are kept in the office, which will keep them safe, but if necessary, they can intervene in the werewolf crisis. If you obtained the stuffed animal as Abigail, Kaitlyn can use it to entice the werewolf into the freezer. Emma and Abigail will be safe at the office this way.
