Actor Maya Rudolph makes a memorable appearance on the hit YouTube series Hot Ones, in which guests eat spicy chicken wings throughout their interview with host Sean Evans. Two episodes later, Novak's retching is compelling enough to cause gagging and giggling on this side of the television when she smells a wealthy friend's homemade civet musk perfume.
Rudolph plays Molly Novak, a woman whose wealthy tech executive husband (Severance's Adam Scott) publicly cheats on her, leaving her with an $87 billion divorce settlement, in Apple TV+'s newest workplace comedy (three episodes are currently available to stream, with new episodes dropping weekly on Fridays). When she discovers she is the leader of her own nonprofit, she makes a commitment to help the nation's poorest citizens, beginning with a (failed) attempt at character improvement through appearances on programs like Hot Ones.
Rudolph is most recognized in this country for her part in the 2011 Paul Feig film Bridesmaids. She also had voice roles in The Mitchells vs. the Machines and The Emoji Movie, as well as years spent as a regular and guest performer on Saturday Night Live.
