Stranger Things Season 4 Episode 8 Vol 2: Did Will admit he's GAY?

In the "Stranger Things" universe, there have been numerous discussions over Will's sexual orientation, and Season 4 led everyone to believe that he is gay and secretly in love with Mike. Since Season 1, Will and Mike have been the closest of friends, and Mike has done everything in his power to protect Will from the Demogorgons. He was crucial in reacquainting him with reality, and love was a significant factor in that.

We get a few hints of his confusing sexuality in the first volume of Season 4 of "Stranger Things." He often reminded him of his importance to the group and showed more interest in him than even Mike did. Similar events occur in Season 4 Episode 8 when Will, Mike, Jonathan, and Argyle travel to the unidentified location where Eleven is being held. In one of the situations, Mike comes to the conclusion that Eleven might not need him any longer once she gains her powers because she will be self-sufficient at that point. What if Mike finding Eleven in the woods wasn't fate, but rather careless luck, he also asks Will?

Mike is upset and feels like their relationship is over because Eleven might not need him in the future. Will becomes very upset and exhibits an artwork to him. Will, Mike, Eleven, Dustin, and Lucas are all seen in the picture fighting a dragon while all of them are wearing knightly armor. Will assures Mike that he will always be in charge of this gang since he always inspires them as he leads them during the struggle in the painting. He demonstrates to Mike that the heart on his coat of arms keeps the group together because Eleven in particular would disintegrate without a heart.

Will explains to Mike why Eleven has been so disoriented for so long. He seemed to be talking about himself, though; you could sense that as he spoke. Interestingly, Jonathan experienced the same thing. She is just so different from everyone else, and when you are different, sometimes you feel like a mistake, Will explains. But because of the confidence, you offer her, she has the strength to keep going.

Will cries as he tells Mike that Eleven needs him and always will at the conclusion of their talk. He described himself as "different," which (in part) reveals that he is GAY and that the rumors regarding his sexuality were true. But the way Jonathan confronts him about what he just heard is what we're most curious to see.
