Stray: What are the Zurks?
There has been a lot of community conjecture about some of the gameplay mechanics and features that the upcoming cyberpunk cat game Stray will bring to the table with its release in a few hours. The plot of the game lets players assume control of a cat who is separated from the rest of its family. The cat discovers itself in an underground dystopia where the only life forms present are paranoid robots rather than humans. Although at first glance, these neighbors might look scary, the cat hero is unharmed. Other creatures live in some of the most remote and dangerous regions of the dystopian country known as the "Zurks," and they are determined to obstruct the cat's quest. Fortunately, the protagonist is not alone as it makes its way through the densely populated dystopian jungle. Instead, it ultimately encounters B-12, a helpful drone that serves as both a translator and a guide.
Understanding Zurks in Stray
Players can control the cat in Stray to jump, crawl, leap, and cause trouble as it searches for a way out of the robot-populated metropolis. The B-12 buddy is essential to the voyage since it allows the cat to converse with the robots it encounters while moving through the urban underground environment. Players can gradually discover more about the Zurks, who are present in the more terrifying parts of the plot, and the history of the city through these conversations.
The Zurks, who resemble face-huggers and are among the biggest challenges the cat will encounter along the route, can be seen in the gameplay footage for Stray. The violent Zurks may take on the forms of either organic or inorganic life, and they will attack and devour anything that appeals to them. They are one of the main dangers to an instant game over when the players must restart from the most recent checkpoint, as they were seen in one of the trailers totally overwhelming the cat after swarming it.
According to some in-game history, there used to be a company called Neco Corp that was in charge of waste management because the slums were overrun with garbage from the upper levels. A microorganism that would dissolve the garbage was developed by Neco Corp. The microbes changed, though, as people left the city. It grew and began absorbing not just rubbish but everything it was interested in. Fortunately, the Zurks hid in the city's sewer system because they rarely frequented densely populated areas. The cat will still need to avoid several enemy nests in order to find freedom; this simply means that the robot residents of Stray are secure from the Zurks.
Players will only be permitted to share these Zurks off when the game begins by merely wetting the cat's coat. However, this only functions once a few people have jumped on its back. However, the cat and B-12 will subsequently produce a mysterious-looking robot named "Doc," who will give gamers in Stray strong weaponry to defeat these foes. All main platforms and territories will have Stray available for a few hours, and PS Plus Extra and Premium customers will be able to play it for free on launch day.
