What to do with the crucifix

The crucifix serves as a barrier to stop a spirit from entering its hunt phase. When a ghost is hunting, they lock all of the doors to the structure they haunt, making it impossible for you to leave. Once the hunt is over, you will need to hide from them, but if they find you, they will kill you, leaving the rest of your team to determine what kind of ghost it is. A crucifix must be placed in the area the ghost haunts for it to be effective. The location of this particular room will change according on the difficulty. The ghost won't be able to go into its hunting phase while the crucifix is still in the room, saving your squad from having to flee and hide. Once more, the object must be on the ground. If you're holding it, it won't function.

A crucifix may be applied twice. When a crucifix begins to burn and disappears after being used twice, you will know it has stopped a hunt.
