Cult of The Lamb: Sacrifice and promote characters

I don't know what to do with your Cult of the Lamb believers. Give them a deserved conclusion? Give them up to get more power? In the Devolver Digital and Massive Monster titles, we demonstrate how to achieve both.

Cult of The Lamb: Sacrifice and promote characters

Cult of the Lamb is one of the best games ever made. Don't be fooled by the title of Devolver Digital and Massive Monster's game; despite its cute protagonist and cartoon appearance, it has a lot, a lot, of terrible drool. There will be times when you must choose which resources to use, which members to recruit, and who to fire from your demonic cult. There are still more possibilities available in this game. This Cult of the Lamb guide will show you how to sacrifice and promote characters if you don't know how to do it correctly and want to get the most out of this entertaining game.

Sacrifice and promote characters

The more we play Cult of the Lamb, the more powers, artifacts, and rituals we can discover. These last ones are the "sauce" of the game because they can grant us special advantages. You should be aware of two rites in particular. They are essential not just for bettering our main character, Lamb, but also for comprehending the cult and fostering relationships with our followers. There is no sacrifice and ascending rituals available right away. Everything revolves around The One Who Waits, an old god who, based on our deeds, will give us these powers. Here, we outline each ritual's steps and location of unlocking:

Sacrificial ritual

The Sacrifice of Flesh ritual, commonly known as it, can be accessed by completing the Darkwoods crusades. You will encounter some mini-bosses if you do. Take them down and continue. You will encounter The One Who Waits, who will instruct us in the sacrifice ceremony if you have met these prerequisites. From that point on, you can sacrifice any worshiper at your church's altar.

You will receive benefits for sacrificing a worshiper, and the awards will increase in value the more affinities you have with the worshiper. In essence, we will receive XP for the red crown along with new weapons, more health, increased damage, or even curses. The sacrificial rite costs 75 bones, and by performing it, we will deplete 10 faith points. It will cost 37 bones if you possess the ritual discount skill. After you have offered a worshiper as a sacrifice, you must wait a few days before you can offer another. Using the Belief characteristic is a useful strategy to prevent the loss of faith.

Ascent ritual

Wherever we go, our followers will follow. Others will pass away from old age, while some will be sacrificed. The third choice is to advocate for them. Get a stone tablet and finish the relevant doctrine in Law & Order in order to unlock the Ritual of Ascent. The Ritual of Ascent of the Chosen One, which essentially transports a worshiper to a higher plane of existence, will be given to you as a result.

The ceremony of ascent costs 75 bones just like the sacrificial ritual (37 if you have the discount ability). Although we will need to wait a few days before trying it again, this time we will receive +15 Faith. Rewards and XP are also given when you promote a worshiper. It makes sense that the stronger the affinity, the bigger the prize we will win and that it will also depend on things like age.
