Cult of the Lamb: How to defeat Kallamar

How to beat Kallamar

The first thing to understand is that, like the other bishops, Kallamar does not battle alone. He may summon two different enemies that you've already encountered in this biome as minions. The hefty hopping crabs of both small and large sizes, as well as three kinds of explosive jellyfish—small, giant, and the ones that charge at you—are among these. Since adversaries are injured by the explosion that the jellyfish generate when they are hit, they can actually be of assistance to you. Simply watch out for any chain reactions.

Kallamar's only available type of attack is in melee combat. He'll run after you and swipe at you with his weapon as he approaches. At this point, trying to counterattack is a fruitless endeavor, so keep moving and keep using dodges to put distance between you and him as he cools off. You can also roll across him for minor damage while escaping if you have Blazing Trail (one of the many Tarot Cards you can unlock) active.

Kallamar's main attacks are fireballs, which appear in a variety of forms. He has the capacity to conjure a constricting ring of fire around you from the outset of the conflict. Roll through it right away to get away. He has the ability to shoot fireballs in the style of bullet hell. The first is shaped like a cone and is directed at you. To fan out the fireballs and give yourself room to dodge them, move around the arena from side to side and from top to bottom. The boss has the ability to fire circular fireballs that cover the entire stage. It is simpler to step back and let the fireballs spread than to keep rolling through them.

Kallamar will get some new fireball patterns when his health is low. The first involves being tossed three rings of fire; move away from them to avoid getting burned. Two more Bullet Hell designs are also given to him. The first one, shown above, releases waves of fireballs. You can see there are safe lanes between the fireballs if you take a step back, so stay in those to keep yourself safe. Finally, be prepared to roll right through a full ring of fire that he can spew without any breaks. Don't be disheartened if it takes a few tries to defeat Kallamar because he is a much stronger opponent than his sister Heket. You will win if you kill the minions as soon as they show up and focus on avoiding the fireballs.
