How to defeat Oryx in King’s Fall Raid

The Daughters of Oryx battle and the Oryx encounter are very similar. We recommend keeping these places and using them for the encounter if you have a strong rotation for that one with two fillers wandering the map and people assigned to plates. When you are prepared, move toward the ship's far end and press the orb to call Oryx.

Oryx Plates and Platform Jumping

In a nutshell, each participant needs to be assigned a plate, and you'll need two additional players to fill in the empty spots. If another player is unable to activate their plate, they will be accommodating. This is relevant when you have to work with a player who has been ripped through another dimension and activate plates. Oryx will show up when the fight begins, and several foes will also spawn. You must defeat every enemy that spawns on each plate, including Taken Knights and other adversaries. Oryx will eventually turn to one of these plates on the map, bang his fist against it, and activate it.

If a symbol is visible above one of the other plates, the player in charge of that plate must stand on it, call out, and have the person in charge of that plate respond. A randomly chosen member of the fireteam will be torn, and they will need to get to the first active plate. The Torn player must get to the top of the platforms after both plates have been activated in order to grab a bonus before jumping down. Everyone on their plate will be damaged and wish to jump off of it as it burns bright red. Similar results occur if you stand improperly on a plate that isn't supposed to be active.

Oryx Light-Eater Ogres and Knights

Light-Eater Ogres will manifest on that side of the room after the plate has been activated. On that side of the room, players try to eliminate them swiftly. They will drop an AOE with a black orb in the center when these ogres call. This region is off-limits because it contains a bomb. The team will be wiped out if they touch it before the proper period. Therefore, make sure nobody touches it. Light-Bear Knights will soon materialize on each side of the room after the Light-Bear Ogres do, and they will rush toward the explosive. They will eat the bombs if you don't stop them before they get there. You want to make sure you have as many bombs as you can afford because they are crucial to harming Oryx.

Vessel of Oryx and Damaging Oryx

A small number of foes appear at the front of the area and move toward the middle when the Torn players have obtained two orbs. You should primarily ignore them; one of them is known as the Vessel of Oryx. For the Torn player focusing on the third orb, it is there. They must proceed to the Vessel of Oryx and steal the shield when they engage with the orb at the top of the platform. Each individual allocated to the plate will want to stand close to their specific bombs while the player acquiring the third orb works on the Vessel of Oryx.

Not inside of them, but close by. A message with the text "Oryx calls upon the Darkness" will now start to play. All allocated plate players should enter their bomb at this point and wait for the notice that says, "Player's Name has detonated a Corrupted Light." They'll then want to move toward the Vessel of Oryx's shield in the middle and wait for the bombs to detonate there. Oryx, who ought to be stunned, will now want to aim at his center as everyone turns to face him. You will cause harm to this area for as long as you can by using your best tools, skills, and any other team-available modifiers.

Oryx Retribution

Oryx will exact one of two reprisals against you and your team following any damage phase. The first involves casting a destructive AOE effect that resembles a blue aura surrounding you. It then follows you around the room and might hit your teammates. A good workaround for this is to have the two fillers sprint up and down their respective halves of the middle of the arena while the two players allocated to each plate go around their plates. No one will overlap with one another in this way.

In the second, the ship's front suddenly sprouts a sizable blue ball. A miniature version of Oryx with a sword and other foes running into this arena will be fighting against players when they are randomly teleported into the center. You must fight this Oryx and defeat it while protecting yourself from the enemies. To defend those in the center, the teammates outside the bubble can fire at the swarming foes. The cycle will continue until Oryx's health bar's leftmost little portion of health is reached. Unless you've taken too long and he's ready to enrage, we advise you to wait until you're almost to the brink of it before dealing another damage phase to him. During this time, you can gather special and powerful ammunition for the final stand. If so, move quickly to the phase known as the Final Stand.

Final Stand against Oryx

Immediately following the DPS stage, Oryx will enter the Final Stand and move to the stage's center. As he continues to stand there, the message "Oryx calls upon the Darkness" will flash over his screen. Light-Eater Ogres will arrive at the front of the ship, to the left and right of the arena. To take them out and detonate the bombs, two players are required. Similar to the previous DPS sections of this encounter, they will need to travel back to the center after those bombs have detonated and attack Oryx's center. These will prolong Oryx's Final Stand phase, extending the window of opportunity for damage. Oryx will be defeated once his health is at its lowest point. You can make your way to the bow of the ship to collect your reward for successfully completing the King's Fall Raid.
