Catching animals on your Island Sanctuary

Soon after you lay out your cropland and sow your first seeds, you will be able to capture animals. Now that you can communicate with the Creature Comforter, he or she will build you a pasture and enable catch mode for you. You should use some sort of restraint while capturing an animal. The first time you unlock Catch mode, you are given a Makeshift Net. With it, you can walk up to animals that are wandering around and try to talk to them.

When in this mode, you should approach and engage with any animals you find strolling around your island sanctuary. Your character will either successfully catch the animal, miss and the animal won't notice you are there, or miss and the animal will flee. As long as you have another restraint handy, you can attempt again immediately after the animal scampers away from the area.

There is a possibility that uncommon animals will wander your island. For instance, you might come across a black lamb, which is really dissimilar from the usual lambs you see roaming around. We advise you to investigate your island to see what kinds of enigmatic animals have made it there.
