There is no denying that healing is crucial in every game you play, but it becomes even more crucial when your characters face the possibility of death. Your posse's health is crucial in Hard West 2. Even though you start the game with full health, if you don't recover, your posse members will fall victim to enemy attacks very rapidly. Thankfully, you need not be concerned about them passing away. Simply put, they will pass out and awaken filled with a significant amount of rage.

How to heal your posse members

Your posse members are destined to suffer injuries during combat. There is essentially no way to prevent it. Fortunately, there are methods to restore them to a fighting state. When you enter the open world, any members of your posse who were wounded in combat will still have that much health. If any of them happens to pass out during the fight, they will regain consciousness afterward with only one health point, which is insufficient to withstand any blows.

You will need to see a surgeon to treat the members of your posse. On the map, surgeons will show up, usually in towns. The first one is located close to Boomtown. When you interact with the surgeon's office, you will first meet the doctor there before learning how much it will cost to get everyone's health back. There are alternative methods of healing your character if you happen to be scared of doctors. If you have some supplies, you can rest at a camp while it heals the members of your posse. If they have a healing item like beans in their inventory, you can also heal them while they are engaged in combat. Remember that the healing power of these products pales in comparison to a surgeon's hands.
