Monster Hunter Rise: How the Adrenaline Rush skill works

One of the monsters added to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak in Title Update 1 is Lucent Nargacuga, which brings new equipment that hunters can make and equip.

Monster Hunter Rise: How the Adrenaline Rush skill works

Lucent Nargacuga is a spectacular fight that becomes available after you achieve Master Rank 10 and defeat Seething Bazelgeuse, Silver Rathalos, and Gold Rathian. The armor you may create from its components also comes with the awesome skill Adrenaline Rush. If you can keep it active, it is a huge boost to your damage and overall battle effectiveness. Here is how to use the new skill and where to get it.

Where to get the Adrenaline Rush Skill and what it does

Adrenaline Rush gives your attack stat a flat +30 bonus while it's active. You must execute a flawless dodge right before a monster's strike is going to land in order to activate it. Switch Axe and Dual Blades users benefit the most from this requirement, but any weapon class that focuses on spot-dodging can benefit. The adrenaline rush in Monster Hunter Rise only comes from one place: Lucent Nargacuga armor at sunrise. In contrast to Defiance, which is available as a decoration, you need to wear Lambent armor to access the skill. Adrenaline Rush is available in two levels from the Lambent Wristrays gauntlets and one level from the Lambent Gaiters leg armor. The effects of each of the skill's three levels are listed below:

  • Adrenaline Rush Level 1: While active, receive a temporary attack power boost of +10.
  • Adrenaline Rush Level 2: While active, receive a temporary attack power boost of +15.
  • Adrenaline Rush Level 3: While active, receive a temporary attack power boost of +30.

The largest bonus is obtained by wearing both parts of the Lucent Nargacuga armor, but doing so prevents you from using other amazing abilities like Chain Crit or Defiance, which are also found on Leg Armor. The decision will ultimately come down to personal preference and how well you can routinely avoid monster attacks. This skill is also not for you if you don't employ a weapon type that depends on it, such as a greatsword. If you're interested in Adrenaline Rush, the investment can be quite worthwhile.
