Pokémon Go: Joltik 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Joltik

The Spotlight Hour this week is the ideal opportunity to catch a powerful PVP Joltik in Pokémon Go. Although its developed form, Galvantula, is a common choice in Go Battle League, it isn't really useful anywhere. The goal for this week's Spotlight Hour is, as usual, to catch as many Joltik as you can due to the opportunity to pursue a PVP Pokémon in Pokémon Go and the double catch candy bonus that coincides with the event. It's not as easy to find a perfect Pokémon because it's significant to the Go Battle League as a four-star monster; as usual, it depends on what you're looking for.

Pokémon Go: Joltik 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Joltik

Joltik 100% perfect IV stats in Pokémon Go

The Spotlight Hour this week is a fantastic chance to snag a Joltik with ideal IV stats. Naturally, in Pokémon Go, "perfect" has two different meanings. First, there is the fully upgraded, 100% IV version, which is the 15/15/15 you need for your Master League, raids, and 4* Pokédex. But because of how CP is calculated using IV, raids, and Go Rocket battles, a Pokémon with a perfect IV is usually only its best self in the Master League, raids, and Go Rocket battles.

In this instance, at Level 23.5, a perfect Galvantula in the Great League has a maximum CP of 1495. However, a flawless Go Battle League IV Galvantula (15/15/15) has a maximum CP of 2494 at Level 50, making it one of the uncommon occurrences. Simply put, Joltik in the Ultra League is a 4* Pokémon. Of course, you can't view a Pokémon's IV without first catching it, but with enough forethought, you may determine from the CP alone, as the late Great Ben Kenobi once said, if these are the droids you're looking for.

For a flawless 15/15/15 Joltik at Level 30 (or above), you should preferably be searching for the following CPs:

  • Level 30 (wild CP maximum) - 877 CP
  • Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum - 950 CP

Since most players are now over Level 30, we've stuck with these values to keep things simple. The wild CP value corresponds with your trainer level until you reach Level 30. If you are currently below Level 30, however, these statistics will be different.

Is there a shiny Joltik in Pokémon Go?

Both good and terrible news is available. Joltik and Galvantula cannot be shiny in Pokémon Go, which is bad news. The good news is that you're not really missing much because shiny Joltik and shining Galvantula both look really meh. Joltik would be a great contender if we ever created a page listing the worst Pokémon shinies because, at first glance, it can be challenging to distinguish it from its ordinary form. While glossy Galvantula receives slightly varied accent colors, Joltik is a somewhat milder shade of yellow. Overall, not very impressive.
