Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How does the new Pokédex work
The most priceless item you receive on every Pokémon journey is the Pokédex. The Pokédex records every Pokémon you come across and provides you with interesting (and occasionally ridiculous) details about every Pokémon you catch. The Rotom Phone is a special kind of phone that will be available for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How does the Pokédex work in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
Rotom has been the Pokédex in the last few generations of Pokémon video games. Rotom is a ghost and electric-type Pokémon that has the ability to take control of machinery. In recent game versions, Rotom takes control of your phone and transforms it into your personal Pokedex. You will have a Rotom Phone in Scarlet and Violet, which will serve as your traveling buddy and have a number of apps.
Actually, Scarlet and Violet's Pokédex will only be an app on your Rotom Phone. Your Rotom Phone will act as your all-in-one gadget, with apps for a map of the area and many types of information. You may zoom in and out of the map on the Rotom Phone to see your surroundings more clearly when the weather is displayed there. If the Rotom Phone functions similarly to the main menu in Pokémon Sword and Shield, expect further capabilities on the phone, such as access to the Mystery Gift and checking out your League Card.
The ninth generation of Pokémon games includes Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus were part of Generation VIII before they came. Several new gameplay elements from the most recent generations are still present in Scarlet and Violet, including an open world and interactive Pokémon in the overworld. Scarlet and Violet's plot revolves around you enrolling in school and having to finish a treasure hunt. The August Direct appears to allow you to challenge gym leaders in any order, so you can also go up against them again.
