Samsung Galaxy A23 5G: Released date, Price, Specs, Features, and More details

This year's Galaxy A23 cheap phone now has a 5G upgrade from Samsung, but despite disclosing all of the phone's specifications, the manufacturer has not yet said where it will be sold. Here is what we currently know about the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G: Released date

Even though Samsung has disclosed the A23 5G's specifications, there is still no official release date for the device. Additionally, we are unsure of the markets in which it will be sold. Following its March release with the Galaxy A03, Galaxy A13 (both 4G and 5G), Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, the phone already has a 4G version in India and a few other territories.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G: Price

Again, Samsung has not yet revealed a price, so we must look at the other models in the lineup to obtain some hints.

  • Samsung Galaxy A33 5G – £329/€379.99 (not available in the US)
  • Samsung Galaxy A23 – ₹18,499 (approx. £189/$239/€222)
  • Samsung Galaxy A22 5G – £209/€229 (approx. $265)

We predict that the Galaxy A23 5G will cost roughly £229/$299/€249 because Samsung typically maintains a very constant pricing structure. Our only pricing information is speculative, so we'd advise taking it with a grain of salt. Gizpie has revealed prices it says are from a European vendor, which places the phone at or near €300 (well, €301.76 to be exact). However, the website doesn't disclose which retailer provided the information, and the pricing seems a little off given how precise it is.

Samsung A23 5G: Specs and features

Samsung hasn't specified the A23 5G's release date, retail location, or price, but it has shared the main features and design of the phone. It is actually not a surprise that it looks remarkably similar to other A-series gadgets from 2022. Its specs are comparable to those of its 4G sister. The phone has an Infinity-V front camera that uses a tiny teardrop notch to house the lens and a 6.6-inch flat display with Full HD+ quality. Unlike the 90Hz screen on the 4G version, which also had Gorilla Glass 5 protection that isn't mentioned here, Samsung hasn't confirmed the refresh rate of the display, so people think it's only 60Hz.

Although Samsung hasn't officially verified the phone's processor, leaked Geekbench results indicate that it runs on the Snapdragon 695 5G, which is a logical upgrade from the Snapdragon 680 4G in the Galaxy A23. However, it has been verified that RAM comes in sizes of 4, 6, or 8GB, and storage options are 64 or 128GB, both of which come with extendable microSD card slots. A 50MP OIS primary camera, an 8MP front camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor have all been verified as the cameras.

The 5000mAh battery is anticipated to have the same 25W charging capacity as the 4G variant, even if Samsung hasn't confirmed charging speeds. As you might expect, Android 12 and Samsung's One UI 4.1 will already be on the phone when you buy it.
