Sea of Thieves: How to restore and repair a ship

In Sea of Thieves, you may quickly fix damage to your ship by using several boards of wood. Your ship will still operate normally, but it won't exactly appear to be in shipshape. Your hull may have ugly holes and chipped paint, and your capstan and wheel may have lost their distinctive designs. Fortunately, Sea of Thieves allows you to completely repair your ship's appearance, but only if you're a member of a captain's crew.

How to restore your ship from the Sea of Thieves menu

You can actually repair whatever damage your ship sustained during your most recent session before logging on again. From the main Start menu, navigate to My Ships and Adventure. Go to the ship you want to restore, and Restore will be the second option listed after Sail. You can find out what condition your ship is in via the menu. There is no need to refurbish a ship if it is already in excellent condition. If not, you will be required to spend some gold to repair it to its original state; the cost of repair will increase based on the amount of damage your ship has sustained.

How to restore your ship in-game in Sea of Thieves

You can visit the shipwright in-game to repair your ship if you park a commanded ship next to an outpost. Speak with the shipwright by running up to them. Restore My Ship is the final option to choose. The option will be grayed out if your ship is already in immaculate shape. If you choose the alternative, the game will prompt you with the gold cost of fully recovering your ship. Once more, the cost increases in proportion to the extent of the ship's damage. Intriguingly, the price to restore went up in real-time during a thunderstorm at an outpost. It also costs more if your ship has water in it. There will be a cooldown after you recover your ship, during which you cannot restore the ship again until the cooldown has passed.
